A Jewish girl from West Los Angeles joins a neo-Hindu cult. Her parents go to court seeking a conservatorship. The hearing examines the girl's experience from the viewpoint of the law, of psychologists and of mystics. The problem is that, when one is adapted to a corrupt culture (as most of us are) any religious act may seem bizarre.
