Synopsis: | This new work is based off of the history and life of J. M. Barrie and the Llewelyn Davies brothers, from which Barrie found his inspiration for the beloved family classic Peter Pan. The Lost Boys follows the story of J.M. Barrie and the Davies boys as they set out to discover what staying young really means. Through games and adventures, Barrie begins to piece together a magical island and the creatures and stories that live there. Arthur and Sylvia Llewelyn Davies try to cope with the intrusion of the "little man" until Arthur finds out he is dying of cancer. It is up to Barrie now to step in as father. As the Davies brothers grow into young men, they try to break free of "Neverland" and grow beyond the world that Barrie has created for them. As each tries to come to terms with moving on, Barrie refuses to let them go. For the Lost Boys, the break from family ends with terrible consequences. | |||||
