Marshaline Letcher studied acting with various instructors in NYC. As an actress she worked under a pseudonym. She has worked Off-Off Broadway, in regional theater, film, and in commercials. She won the title of Most Talented in an NYC Miss America preliminary and was first runner up in a Miss Black America of New York State pageant. Marshaline opened and operated an acting school for children. The school was featured on various NYC news programs and on Essence The Television Show as well as an Essence Magazine article. Marshaline has participated in various playwriting workshops in NYC. She was awarded a grant for her first play, Marcella's Song, by the New York State Council On The Arts. In addition to plays she writes non fiction articles, non fiction books, and children's books.
