Busted: The Musical         Night At The Tombs, A

Busted: The Musical

Synopsis:
Chicago meets TransAmerica in Busted, actress Bianca Leigh's recounting of the events surrounding her arrest for alleged solicitation against the backdrop of the "Black Monday" stock market crash of 1987. While cooling her 6-inch heels in the clink awaiting arraignment, Bianca looks back at her past and tries to make sense of how a skinny Jersey boy with dreams of becoming a great Shakespearean actress ended up as a high-priced dominatrix. In a tour-de-force performance both hilarious and moving, Bianca revisits her past as a young transwoman in early transition and brings to vivid life more than a dozen characters -- from her disappointed mother to the sadistic corrections officer who enacts the ultimate humiliation. The show features original songs by Tony-winner Jeff Whitty (avenue Q), Obie-winners Taylor Mac and Ellen Maddow, Jeff Domoto, Super Buddha, Matty Pritchard and Isam Rum, and William TN Hall.

Night At The Tombs, A

Synopsis:
In a Night at the Tombs, transgender actress Bianca Leigh recounts the events surrounding her arrest for prostitution. While cooling her 6-inch heels in the clink awaiting sentencing, Bianca looks back at her past and tries to make sense of how a skinny New Jersey boy who dreamed of becoming a great Shakespearean actor ended up as a high-priced dominatrix. Bianca brings to vivid life more than a dozen characters, from her disapproving mother to the sadistic corrections officer who enacts the ultimate humiliation. With original music by prominent queer composers and lyricists representing every musical genre from Broadway to opera to punk (including Jeff Whitty, William M. Hoffman, Taylor Mac, Jeff Domoto, Barb Morrison, and Matty Pritchard and Isam Rum), this night promises to be one to remember.
