| Synopsis: | A, B, C, D, E, F and W are at C's place for dinner. In a time when stories have been forbidden. A brash utterance of defiance and whimsy leads to a contagion of expression as the joy of enactment and recounting, of play, reminds them of what has been lost. A eulogy for a time before communication's reductively impersonal twittering, Pitch celebrates the fundamental and human urgency to relate, share, and mimic. The product of an intensive year-long process, Pitch was developed by poet Gracie Leavitt, director Benjamin Mosse, choreographer Nick Pleshette Murphy and composer Wolfgang Zah from locations all over the world by video conferences, email exchanges, and improvisational workshops. Reflecting a global model of collaboration, Pitch includes artists from Japan, China, Finland, Mexico, Germany and the United States. - press release | |||||
