"Born in 1947 in Christchurch, where he grew up, Gary Langford has been resident in Sydney since late 1974. A prolific writer, he has had much of his poetry, prose, scripts and plays published or performed in both New Zealand and Australia. Published works are THE EARLY MORNING HERO (A & R 1976), GETTING ON (Mi1perra CAE 1978), REVERSALS (Milperra CAE 1978) and PLAYERS IN THE BALLGAME (MacWillians 1979). He was runner-up in the Fourth Angus.and Robertson's Writers' Fellowship and has received writing grants from both the New Zealand and Australian governments. His plays and sketches have been p??rformed on stage and television in both New , Zealand and Austral.Ła. He has acted and directed for the stage, though concentrates on writing. GOING BACK is his latest full length play. (1979)"
