As the dementia she is suffering from takes over, the audience is given glimpses of Maria's past, through the lens of her slowly disintegrating mind. She remembers nursing her disabled daughter and her job washing clothes at a private boarding school where she developed a close friendship with a young Arab Prince. When the same Prince comes to find her all these years later is Maria dreaming? And what could he want from her after all this time?
