Synopsis: | This is the somewhat strained story of a lovelorn pig farmer (Hugh Francis O'Connell) and a feisty barmaid (Margaret Mary-Rose O'Boyle) who together run a local radio show. Hugh Francis and Margaret Mary-Rose were grade school sweethearts. Not anymore. Margaret Mary-Rose, who has recently been voted Barmaid of the Year, went and married Joe O'Boyle and Hugh Francis has never gotten over it. But he's got her for two hours a day as they broadcast from Micky Madden's Mother's garage to anyone within a five mile radius. It's just the two of them in the studio with Patsy McCloskey on the prowl and on the road reporting all the news as it happens, when it happens, wherever it happens. We never actually meet Patsy. But we are introduced to Fabian Martinez a BBC Intern from Argentina who Margaret Mary-Rose found at the bar and who reignites their dreams of fame and fortune in the communications game almost immediately after being dragged in by Margaret Mary-Rose. | |||||
