Synopsis: Nirvana is set during the cycle of violent wars in the Balkans at the beginning of the 20th century. Based on documents and shorthand records, it recreates one tragic night in the life of Lora Karavelova and Peio Yavorov in November 1913. Yavorov was a great poet, playwright and revolutionary; Lora was a feminist and the daughter of an ex-Prime Minister. The play's harrowing portrait of their tragic relationship is played against the background of a nation in crisis. | ||||
