| Synopsis: | *Festival Award Winner & Writing Award Winner* Dickie Perkins is teetering on the edge. His wife, Brenda, often berates him for his lack of worldly success and when he fails with his latest attempt to gain promotion at the Moon Life Insurance Company it is the last straw. Dickie claims he is being haunted by a scruffy tramp in a green mac. This provokes Brenda into conspiring with suave, sophisticated next door neighbour, Mr. Francis, to remove her husband to a Psychiatric Unit. Mr. Francis sells his house and moves in with Brenda. Their future looks rosy until events take a violent and dramatic turn. | |||||

| Synopsis: | *Festival Award Winner* Elderly Venetia Havergale is a merciless critic of men and just about everything else, as the other women who live in the retirement flats know only too well. And she will never be any different - or will she? Thanks partly due to the revolt of down-trodden Esther, supported by Rhoda the 'mad literary woman' who is obsessed with her ailing cactus plant and thoughts of her hero Tolstoy - as well as some plain speaking from down-to-earth Sadie (formerly of the 'old bus depot' in Salvation Street) - things are about to change. "A cleverly written play. . . ambitious, and gives opportunity for strong characterisation." Christabel Burniston - Adjudicator, Staffs Youth & Adult Drama Festival | |||||

| Synopsis: | As a singer she had control, as a lover she had none. The emotional insecurity of Magdelena, lead singer with rock band "Hard Rain", reaches crisis point when her dreams of stardom and love with lead guitarist, Jake, come into conflict with reality. Set in the tenuous world of rock music, this easy-to-stage play is especially identifiable for teenagers, college groups or drama societies with youth sections with directorial scope for artistic licence. "She tried to turn her dream into reality - but reality was the obstacle." | |||||
