Synopsis:

Initiated by war then cursed by pride, this is a tale of how wearied soldiers journeyand ultimately one soldier journeys home. Are They Edible? Part One: Sugar, Spice and Snice is a multi-sensory puppetry performance based on segments of Homer's Odyssey in which the audience will experience this epic tale through two forms of communal experiences: puppetry and food. As we journey together with Odysseus, the audiences will witness their wine turn into the Aegean Sea while dining on the flesh of war and other temptations. Along with the performers, the audience will transform into the Muses, Cyclops, Sirens, suitors, and finally emerge as the guests of Odysseus and Penelope in this tale of excess pride, unparalleled strength, and unyielding love.
