Edwige Jean-Pierre was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She has a B.A from the General Arts program at the University of Ottawa and is also a graduate of Studio 58 (Vancouver). Her work has been seen in Vancouver, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. She presented her solo show entitled Even Darkness is Made of Light at the Rhubarb! Festival (Buddies in Bad Times Theatre) and at the AfriCanadian Playwrights' Festival. Her comedy sketches have been seen at the Hysteria Festival, Cheap Queers, the International Edgy Women Festival and Dat Girl Sho' is Funny. She recently took part in BIBTT's Spotlight on the Creator/Performer where she presented her lastest solo show entitled Saint Bitch. She is member of both Obsidian Theatre's Playwright Unit as well as Tarragon Theatre's Playwright Unit.
