JACKIE MILLER, is a celebrated New York City-based photographer but her roots are in Los Angeles - a town she refuses to return to. Through the intervention of a mysterious talking fish (yes, a fish) JACKIE is lured back to L.A. to photograph a tour of her life that parallels the Jewish migration in L.A.: Boyle Heights to Fairfax, the Valley to Santa Monica. Moving through time and space, JACKIE revisits her wonderful/horrible family and confronts the impossible - the tragic event that separated her from her reckless twin sister, ELAINE.
