Literary Agent:    n/a

James is a young writer based in Leeds. He has been writing and staging on his own full length plays since school (listed below) and has worked alongside other professional writers such as Bryony Lavery, Chris Thorpe and Clare Duffy, all of whom have reviewed and helped develop his own work. He tends to write comedies with an ultimately serious twist. In the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe his comedy Poets' Corner received 4-star reviews and was selected by the austro-British society to receive a fully funded trip to austria in November. There it was performed in a 220 seat professional theatre in central Innsbruck and James led workshops in the community about the play and its characters. In 2008 James was part of a team of five writers for a feature film shot in 2009. It was funded by the Cooperative BYFa to be screened next year and released on small production DVD's. Currently James is working on the final drafts of Etchings that will be performed in Leeds in February, developing a new script for the Edinburgh Fringe next year and working on a new film for the BYFa.
