Peter is an actor, director and playwright based in Melbourne. He has received Green Room awards for best actor in a play for his performance inThe Pitch and most recently for Samuel Beckett's Endgame which he performed for the Melbourne Festival and revived last year for the Beckett Festival in Northern Ireland. He won best playwright for his writing of The Pitch as well as an award for his contribution as a director to Melbourne Theatre. His plays The Pitch and The China Incident were both Age and Herald Sun picks of the year. His plays have been performed by Melbourne Theatre Company, Malthouse, Queensland Theatre Company, Black Swan State Theatre Company and in several national touring productions. A Commercial Farce was produced by Malthouse Theatre and The Colours by Melbourne Theatre Company. He has appeared in several iconic Australian film and television productions, most recently Howzat and Gallipoli for the Nine Network and Fred Schepisi's The Eye Of The Storm. He directed the world premieres of Joanna Murray-Smith's last two plays True Minds for Melbourne Theatre Company and Day One a Hotel Evening for Black Swan State Theatre Company.

Synopsis:
the China Incident is the story of one woman, a perfect storm of crises, and altogether too many phones. Bea Pontivec is a high-flying, highly-strung diplomatic consultant who-s quite literally well connected. She has hotlines to the White House, to the United Nations, to a bloodthirsty dictator. She-s a power-broker, a playmaker, a cast-iron negotiator, a control freak. But as this pin-sharp satire becomes ever more frenetic, and her personal and professional lives collide, Bea will learn the meaning of the term communications breakdown-.

Commercial Farce, A

Synopsis:
It's the night before opening of Living Today by Dylan Crackbourn. Bill is a clapped out, middle aged theatre director hoping to save his finances and his marriage by scoring a hit with his production - but in the lead he's cast Jules, TV star and narcissist who can't seem to achieve the simplest of tasks. Director and actor walk through the moves to try and nail it before the big night. But the farce of Bill's life and the farce they're rehearsing get horribly entangled. . .with murderous results.
