Synopsis: Curtains unfolds backstage at Bostons Colonial Theatre in 1959, where a new musical could be a Broadway smash, were it not for the presence of its talent-free leading lady. Synopsis: The future and it is now too dangerous to go out during daylight hours because of the depleted ozone layer. A group of feral teenagers live in the basement of their old High School. They try to make sense of what life used to be like but only have a couple of magazines and some advertising leaflets. They discover a paperback edition of "Hamlet" but it only has eight pages left in it. Then they discover a video recording of Lawrence Oliver's version that has been recorded from television. They do not realise it but whoever recorded it kept flipping channels so the recording has bits of other programmes, weather forecasts and adverts. From this they try to piece together a performance of the play. | ||||
