| Synopsis: | The first act occurs in the New York apartment of Alice and Delia. Alice has ordered a hit on her life-long friend and roommate. As the curtain rises, Alice is in the process of changing her mind about the hit. Before she does so, Delia's ex-boyfriend, Giovanni, shows up. Alice is trying to get Delia and Giovanni to leave when the hit man, Ex, arrives. Ex normally doesn't change plans once they are set in motion, but he has recently been infected by the voice of a girl named Ruthie who nags him until he does what she wants. One thing leads to another and by the second act they find themselves in a jungle in Papua New Guinea, where the consequences of Alice's impulsiveness will out. Playwright | |||||

| Synopsis: | Drawing from the African myth "The Wheat and the Moon", the Greek myth "Orpheus and Euridice", and Oscar Wilde's "The Rose and the Nightingale", the play integrates myths familiar and obscure to create the story of Hafizi and Nitida, lovers separated by death who are willing to sacrifice the order of the universe to be together one last time. With Orpheus also pursuing Nitida and the Gods Bes, Baba Yaga, and Apollo encouraging the two lovers to move on for the sake of the world. Playwright | |||||
