Synopsis:
*Writing Award Winner* Daly, an art teacher, is invariably reluctant to criticise his students' mediocre work. His evening class is visited by Paula Vivian, a former student now a world famous artist. She shocks the students by suggesting that, apart from Robin, a newcomer, they should destroy their paintings and begin again. Her attempt to inspire them by slashing an early painting of her own fails, and the students depart determined to carry on as before. Only Robin, who Vivian hinted may have talent, takes her at her word and destroys his picture. We wonder, is he inspired or put off by Vivian's remarks.

Synopsis:
A new version of the play by Henrik Ibsen adapted from the translation by William Archer When Dr. Stockmann discovers that the waters of his famous Spa town are so heavily polluted that they are actually poisoning its visitors instead of being beneficial to their health., he is confident the townsfolk will be grateful to him. On the contrary! Everyone with a vested interest in the financial prosperity of the town is immediately up in arms and insists on a cover-up! Even the 'campaigning' newspaper men are ready to jump on whichever band-wagon wins, and even try to seduce his daughter! - This is the first-ever Environmental Play, dealing with Green Issues, and Pollution versus Big Business and Greed. If you ever thought of Ibsen as Box Office poison and unable to appeal to modern audiences, this new version of his lively play will persuade you to think again!

Synopsis:
Yes Folks! - it's the Male Menopause Play again:- and this time it's Dan who's got it bad. His Mother has just died, he nearly died himself via heart by-pass surgery. His attempts at a writing career are in a mess. His safe job has hit the fan, and his sexual chickens are come home to roost. All this climaxes at his housewarming party where, in the company of his friends, his life unravels: and with friends like this, who needs unravelling? - Underlying the whole fiasco is the cautionary theme of the way sheer laziness of mind, self-pity and an inability to heed the feelings of others can lead to - unintentional - racism. But it can: and for Dan it's Nemesis Time, as his 'friends' turn the party into a war of nerves, and the black guy next door, who hasn't been invited, turns it into a guerrilla war!

Synopsis:
Roly-Poly, a parable on human hypocrisy, is based on a famous short story by Guy de Maupassant - Boule de Suif. It tells of a group of "respectable" women who take advantage of a prostitute's services to secure their release from an inn where they are held by the Prussians, only to scorn her when she has done what they wanted. The all-women cast provides eight contrasting and worthwhile roles for its actresses. Period: Franco-Prussian war.

Synopsis:
Florrie's son is getting married at the local Registry Office, in 'a simple ceremony' - after all, the bride has been married before. Representatives of both sides of the family are waiting in the nearby pub for the ceremony to begin. Florrie has refused to join them in this vulgar celebration and waits in the Town Hall with her friend and sister. But there is a secret underlying the whole occasion:- Donald is an adopted son, and when his real mother turns up, determined to see her boy settled in life, the balloon goes up. Florrie, tough, and incapable of sentimentality, is incandescent. She fights the interloper and her family for possession of the man she has fostered for 30-odd years and all sorts of family secrets are dragged out of the woodwork. Will she be generous enough to let go; or will her pride force her son to choose between two mothers?
