Synopsis:

Synopsis:
Verna Claiborne, her husband Aspen, and her cousin Jessamine, have fled New York because Aspen has embezzled their money in his brokerage firm. They escape to a luxurious tropical beach hotel where the unreal atmosphere highlights the hollowness of their lives and the suffering beneath comic facades.
