Dr. Charles Hayter is a physician and playwright who currently practices the specialty of radiation oncology at Credit Valley Hospital in MississaugA. He has been published extensively on medical history, including his 2005 book on the history of radium therapy in Canada, an element of Hope. In 2001 Charles was awarded the John B. Neilson award for his significant long-standing contributions to the history of health care in CanadA. Prior to medical school, he did graduate studies in Drama, and throughout his medical career he has maintained an active involvement in theatrical performance and writing. His 1986 study of the operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan remains one of the most frequently cited works on the topic. Recent stage appearances include La Poncia in the House of Bernarda alba (New Teatro) and James Fitzgibbon in the 1812 Victory Party (Brick Road). His acclaimed one-person show Lady-in-Waiting premiered at the Montreal International Gay and Lesbian Theatre Festival in 2005, and won the 2008 award for Best Writing: One Person Show at the Fresh Fruit Festival in New York City. Charles is a member of Playwrights Guild of CanadA.

Synopsis:
the play examines how Port Hope, a small Canadian town, played a significant role in ending WWII and in the coming of the nuclear age. Set between 1930 and 1946, the play uses music, comedy, and Drama to tell the story of radium and uranium refining in Port Hope from the perspectives of the factory owners, workers and local citizens.

Henry is the principal of an ESL school. He has a thing for young Chinese men. He has just had a one night stand with Lee a Chinese immigrant. Henry finds out that someone is after his job. To fight back and keep his job he decides to use Lee as a pawn. Lee has his own scheme
