Synopsis:
presents a case of mistaken identity in which an immigrant failed comedian from Britain is wrongly taken to be a cultural advisor, and is finally persuaded to leave for Australia only after being told he will never thrive in a land whose inhabitants cannot laugh at themselves. The play agreeably disproves its own point, but in doing so makes the further point that satire, in a buyers market, must be amicably gentle in expression, however sharply observed it may be at heart.
