Synopsis: A choral, image-based response to the 1989 massacre at l'Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal. Mary, a passionate young mathematician, struggles with sexism and hostility in a university engineering department. She is haunted by both events in Montreal and by Hypatia, the female philosopher who in 415 AD was killed by an angry mod in Alexandria. A dreamscape of the various realities that inform Mary's decision whether or not to quite school.

Synopsis: Peggy, a college dropout and social misfit, mourns the loss of her friendship with Marnie, her educated and sophisticated former roomate.
