ALAN GOTLIB has been teaching at the elementary level for 25 years. Of those years, 19 of them have been spent at Claude Watson School for the Arts in Toronto, where he has taught academic subjects and drama to students from Grades 4 through 7. It was the dearth of musicals to which young children could relate that drove him to create (with the help of friends) plays to be performed by children for children. These original musical plays have dealt with issues such as the environment and bullying

Synopsis: | Ms. Allegro is trying to put together an orchestra at her school. As if that isn't enough of a challenge, the instruments themselves are resisting. The Percussion don't want to play with the Brass who don't want to play with the Strings. To make matters worse, there's sabotage afoot. The problems of equity among the instruments mirror problems of equity within today's society. | |||||
