Synopsis: | Paper Tom, a new play exploring post-traumatic stress disorder in soldiers, tells the story of two British veterans: one from the First World War and a modern-day soldier returning home from Afghanistan. Last year Handheld Arts spent a week with the charity Talking2Minds, speaking with veterans from several conflicts who were suffering or had suffered from PTSD. Paper Tom incorporates this research into "a contemporary physical performance combined with bold new writing and mixed media". | |||||
