Synopsis: A mock marriage is being planned to allow Imad escape the discrimination in his home country. His lover, his alibi-wife and his advocate are discussing the details in Imad's absence. In order to lie as accurately as possible, they try to align the stories they connect to Imad - and yet they keep entangling themselves in countless contradictions. Imad turns into a blind spot, an unknown quantity, into a stranger, who's life is diametrically opposed to the naturally liberal, collegiate and casual way of life of his friends in a lot of ways, and who clearly eludes any definitions. The three Westerners circle the absentee in an attempt to characterize him, and yet they keep coming back to their own longings and expectations. While they spin their tales, the object of their interest is being questioned by the police. Will the authorities be able to unearth more reliable facts about Imad than the three people who are supposed to be close to him? | ||||
