| Parts: | Male | 2 | Female | 2 | ||
Parts other: | - | |||||
Notes: | - | |||||
Synopsis: | The female praying mantis bites the head off the male as they copulate, but the death throes increase the intensity of the thrusting. For Harry, a womanising, narcoleptic businessman, this encapsulates human relationships: men live for sex, women try to emasculate them, and both wrestle with their inner animal. In Greg Freeman's comedy, Harry banters about such matters with his friends at a coffee shop while being plagued by dreams of his apparently homicidal ex-wife, Hanny. Dominic obsesses about his ex-wife's decision to neuter their cat; there is more castration anxiety here than in Freud's collected case studies. Meanwhile Georgie, attracted to Harry, tosses in observations about how men me ruled by their penises, but at least not how they always leave the toilet seat up. | |||||
