Synopsis: Regulars at a Montreal bar gather to watch a hockey game on television. Relationships between the patrons begin to unravel as agendas are revealed and old wounds are opened. A new Canadian takes a bold shot at starting a romance, an academic barfly makes a move to save his marriage, a wannabe hockey star gets disavowed of his dream, a brainy bartender decides to try and find more suitable work, and an alcoholic cabbie wrestles with the reality of his drinking problem and wayward life.

Synopsis: Two adult sons return to the family home after their mother's funeral. The reception party plans are interrupted by the arrival of an estranged prodigal son. Sons clash with one another and their father over the circumstances of the prior death of another son, and the father's treatment of their mother. A brutal reckoning ends with a single act of forgiveness.
