At the age of six Harriet Tubman had to clean house and watch a baby. She was got rid of when she fell asleep whilst rocking the baby. She was married at fifteen. When her husband got his freedom he went away without her. After her master died she decided that she had had enough of being a slave and escaped. She also helped 300 other slaves escape
