This is the story of a soldier and his girl - with one ironic twist. The year is 1863. The soldier is in the Union army, encamped near a small Pennsylvania town called Gettysburg. His girl is from - South Carolina! By way of letters written by the soldier to his younger brother, we embark upon a musical journey that examines the forces that led to our nation's most severe crucible - and along with that, the conflict engendered between loyalty to one's heritage and recognition of the greatest injustice ever inflicted upon Americans.
