Daryl Lisa Fazio began writing plays in 2002 as an actor looking for a chance to perform. Now she's on a mission, devoted to creating quality roles for women. Daryl grew up in a small Mississippi college town. She has degrees in both Theatre (B.S., Northwestern University, 1994) and Graphic Design (M.F.A., University of Memphis, 1997) and currently teaches design at Truman State University. Her plays typically involve themes of the American South. Her current plays have been produced at Truman State University, the Minnesota Fringe Festival, and Off-Off-Broadway.

Synopsis:

POPart: the Musical follows 18-year old klutzy outcast Kitty Katz, as she leaves her suburban gated community for the Ghetto art School and finds art's underbelly to be both seamy and spectacular.
