Imad Farajin has worked as an actor for nine years and started writing plays in 2002. He studied acting at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. He performed in Al-Kasaba Theatres Alive from Palestine: Stories Under Occupation, which was devised by the company and has toured throughout the world. In 2007 he won the Al-Qattan Foundations Young Writer Award for his play Chaos. His play 603 was presented as a staged reading at the Royal Court Theatre in November 2008 and at Al Balad Theatre in Amman, Jordan, in February 2009. Since then, a production of 603, directed by Manal Awad, has toured various theatres in the West Bank, as well as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Imad also writes extensively for television.
