after reading "Respect for acting" by Uta Hagen, Maggie Fang decided to leave her hometown, Taiwan to come to New York studying acting at HB Studio.the first year, 2004, she studied English at Baruch College and took speech and voice classes at HB at the same time. after one year, she started taking technique class with Trudy Steibl and Carol Morley. Under their training, she built up solid foundation about knowing how to uses space, activities and physical life to make a actor lives on the stage and believable. then, she has been studying acting with Michael Beckett since 2006. Under his guidance, she learns more about how a actor using themselves to create a new person. then, she joined Common Thread Theater Company and wrote the play with the other actors during the improv rehearsal. the first show "Pieces of Home", she is a girl, Renee, comes to NY to study design and then, marries to a American. the second show "Hiding Out", she(Lisa) is a lesbian who lives in the closet and refuses to come out.

Synopsis:
about Nathan and emily, who have invited all their old friends to celebrate the Christmas holiday at their new home. Donna still struggles with the death of her husband, Tara deals with her recent breakup, and Renee wishes for something more as her husband spends the holiday overseas. Gathering together after 7 years, these friends reminisce about the past and reveal their true aspirations for the future.
