| A rich conservative Jewish gentleman orders his daughter, Caroline, to marry Kuni-Leml. They have never met him and he has been chosen for her by the Matchmaker. She persuades Max the man she really loves to pretend to be Kuni-Leml so that she can marry him. Meanwhile Caroline discovers that Libe the daughter of the Matchmaker loves Kuni-Leml. So Libe pretends to be Caroline when he comes to call. | |||||
