Synopsis: | Little Lil is a comic/dramatic monologue that captures the changing voice of a girl from pre-puberty to mid teens and illustrates the forces at work that deny her a more fruitful future. In telling her story, Lil acts out many characters in her school and home life, from her incompetent French supply teacher, enthusiastic drama teacher to her difficult mother. It is witty and at times the school years are painfully recognisable. Lil herself is a popular young girl full of energy and confidence at the start of her secondary school year, but by the time she leaves school she is aimless and friendless. | |||||
