Synopsis: | An intimate scenario for one audience member at a time, sited in Birmingham Central Library. This work is inspired by the Ray Bradbury sci-fi novel Fahrenheit 451, in which books are forbidden because they are considered dangerous and an underground community of people learn books by heart in order to preserve them for the future. For Time Has Fallen Asleep in the Afternoon Sunshine a group of local non-professional performers have memorized a book of their choice. Together they form a library collection consisting of living books. You are invited to make a half-hour appointment with a book, over the course of which you will experience a one-one-one recital. | |||||
