Stolen Flowers

Synopsis:
Two middle-aged sisters find the strength to leave their troubled pasts behind with the help of some flower seeds and a fertile plan. Azalea Jackson lives on a rural dairy farm is upstate New York. Her greatest joy is to someday plant a flower garden but her controlling husband Chuck thinks flowers are decadent and a waste of time. For many years Azalea has been the victim of his alcoholism and lives in constant fear of his violent outbursts. When her older sister Cora Tompkins, a hard working free spirit visits bringing an innocent gift of potted flowers, it sparks a chain of events that change both of their lives forever. Together the sisters face the repressed tragedies of their past. By confronting their fears, the sisters find a creative way to end the cycle of abuse and find the courage to begin a new life. Touching on themes of domestic violence, poverty and the plight of older women who are forced to become the primary caretakers of their grandchildren. Stolen Flowers is a powerful and inspirational Drama.
