Synopsis: | Steve and Mary`s marriage has broken up. The play opens at the wedding of their daughter. Steve brings along his new wife, a younger more exotic model. Tensions run high as Mary tries to cope. Her daughter blames her for the break-up whereas the son blames the father. Mary has brought John along for moral support. John is a recovering alcoholic. Steve has a drink problem too. As the action progresses, the strain tells, and a family secret is revealed which turns everything on its head. Auntie M, the eccentric old aunt, provides comedy and relief in this heavily-charged drama. And the lesson: It`s not just the older generation who suffer from a broken marriage. | |||||
