| Synopsis: | A playwright (Tom) meets a talented older actress (Lorraine) who's the last of a famous theatrical family. He writes a play especially for her, based on a lot of biographical stories she told him when they met. However, by the time he gets the script to her, she has lapsed back into drinking, bitterness and is too frightened to work anymore. She would rather have him as a lover than a playwright but this is impossible since he already has a lover (Kevin). The situation complicates itself when Tom makes love to Lorraine after bringing her his script. She then thinks she has a chance to win him if she does his play, even though facing the ghosts of her dead family may do her in during rehearsals. | |||||
