Play About Love, A

Synopsis:
a man has corralled all his friends together to ask you a question. He wants to get back together. He wants to remind you of all the good times you had. How electric it was when you touched. How safe you felt. all he wants to do is tell you a story, the story of you and him and why you should give him a second chance. Sometimes love is a never ending road trip through life with your best friend and sometimes it is having a cellmate who occasionally wears your clothes. a Play about Love is the result of my accomplice's organic devising style, where no one person has a greater say than the others. the greatest resource the company had was their own lives to create a fundamentally joyful work about co-existence and co-dependence.

But can you ever really out run your past? especially in space, where even breathing is hard. A Play About Space is the latest work from the acclaimed Wellington-based theatre company my accomplice that brought you the critically acclaimed DOORS. WALLS. AND ALSO SILeNCe., think of all the fun you'll find in the rubber room and A Play About Love. they are Chapman Tripp award winning actor Paul Waggott, award winning writer Uther Dean, and acclaimed actor/producer Hannah Banks. Tiny Deaths

Synopsis:
Twisted loved stories from Wellington's most exciting theatre company The woman who kissed a gnome. The girl who is also a bomb. The lady so obsessed with stationery she is prepared to kill for it. Or even worse: love for it. Tiny Deaths will be a beautiful and odd evening of love stories, all as dark as dark chocolate, from award-winning theatre company My Accomplice (Joseph K, Watch, A Play About Space) and playing at the newly-renovated BATS Theatre. Wickedly funny and sumptuously grotesque, it's perfect for a first date. Or a last one. Uther Dean (Winner: Best Solo, 2014 New Zealand Fringe Awards, Nominated: Best New New Zealand Play, 2014 Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards) has written twelve monologues for six of Wellington's most exciting young women actors. A deep cross-section of the Wellington scene, these six proven actresses (Hannah Banks, Alice May Connolly, Keagan Carr Fransch, Brianne Kerr, Hilary Penwarden and Freya Daly Sadgrove) run the gamut from a Chapman Tripp winner and a Toi Whakaari graduate to alumnae of Wellington's most exciting companies like The Bacchanals, Long Cloud Youth Theatre, Bright Orange Walls and, of course, My Accomplice.

Watch

Synopsis:
You are never alone. We can see you. You have nothing to hide. Not that you have a choice. We live in a world of surveillance - from the big government extremes of the GCSB and the revelations of Edward Snowden to everyday uses of Facebook and Google manipulating our view of the world. Every day we are surrounded by varying levels of surveillance that mean we are always being watched, whether we realise it or not. WATCH exists in a world where government observes anyone of criminal suspicion to keep the general public safe. Professionals are trained to observe criminal elements and they are very good at their jobs. New recruit Esther has her first job in the field. A suspected terrorist cell has emerged in Mount Cook and it's up to her to monitor their activities to get the evidence to bring them down. Before it's too late. We can see you. We can see everything you do. Every minute boring detail of your lives. We observe, record, report, and repeat. Every moment of every day. Don't worry. It's all for your own good. Trust us. Not that you have a choice.
