Synopsis: | Glass Cord, a NuyoRican play, is set on a rooftop in the Bronx during the searing 1970s, where pigeons are trained, dangerous glass cords are made (pulverized glass poured onto kite strings with hot glue), a young girl is seduced, a family unravels and jagged emotions cut through the myth of the "maternal instinct." Rich in Puerto Rican cultural symbolism, Glass Cord conjures taboos through humor and spirited drumming. | |||||
