Guy Walks Into A Bar         New York Nuts Three

Guy Walks Into A Bar

Synopsis:
Guy Walks Into a Bar focuses on the plight of a guy named Joe, who has a sincere desire to "get back out there" after having his confidence shattered by a recent divorce. the play follows him as he walks into four different bars, each time with a new gimmick for meeting women. But what he unfailingly encounters is a perverse pair of guys whose priorities are "drinking, chatting up women, and getting laid." When Joe experiments with internet dating, the guys at the bar proclaim that women who look for men on the internet must be desperate and that a dating service is a cop-out. When he experiments with speed dating they're incredulous that a man would not only have to pay for this kind of service, but tie up two hours of his life having to talk with different women. even when Joe bar-hops into a Ladies Night he finds "the same" two men dressed as women looking for free drinks and spouting free philosophy. Joe's misguided, but hilarious journey of a newly single, straight man is a reminder of those who seek love in all the wrong places for all the wrong reasons.
