Down At Maggie Macomber's

Synopsis:
set in a Massachusetts fishing town during Prohibition. Maggie Macomber, a Liverpool emigrant, runs a boarding house, bootlegs booze and bribes cops. When her orphaned granddaughter falls in love with an Irish patrolman, Maggie uses all the wiles and guile of a self-supporting widow to see that the romance does not blossom into marriage. Several subplots amplify the action and make Maggie first of all an ensemble, character piece.

Patagonia

Synopsis:
On the coast of the Patagonlan desert overlooking a whale sanctuary, a patriarchal figure enacts a painful ritual for the sins of his father. To this barren shore comes Tom adamson who has lost his son In Vietnam and perhaps his faith as well. With him are his two young sons and his German-born wife. She has arranged to meet her Father for the first time, a Nazi biochemist who functioned under Mengele. He in turn is being pursued by Isaac Levy whose parents died at Buchenwald and auschwitz

Synopsis:
Toot is a movie. Patrick Grimes, a 60s liberal, can't quite get his life together. He is about to face his wife after losing another acting job. Terence O'Hara is a black bisexual. He is about to go to Boston to deal with his dying Father and possessive mother. Patrick and Terence meet in Jim. my Ray's bar and decide to delay their respective confrontations by going on a toot. In the course of the evening we explore their lives and psyches on a tour of the seamier bars of Manhattan. Rich in flashback and fantasy. Ulysses and Tiresias '65.
