Sarah Cowan graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education in 2000. She has worked extensively in schools as a teacher for the last 9 years, holding senior posts for developing and maintaining arts provision. During this time she has managed a large number of gifted and talented drama groups and music groups alike. Sarah now specializes in devising original drama with young people aged 7 - 18 years. Her published play scripts have been performed to many countries worldwide and she continues to write original, humorous works, which appeal to children. Sarah's recent writing has led to the publication of her first children's book based on the play script, 'A Trip to the Beach'. Her work as a creative practitioner is mainly in the Primary sector, however Sarah is also director of The Bawtry Phoenix Youth Theatre. She is involved in a range of engagement and multicultural work with a number of arts organizations and is currently establishing the 'Creative Footprints Drama Group', which will provide youth theatre to youngsters in and around the Doncaster area
