Fate has intervened: Diane wakes up in Barb's body and Barb finds herself outside of herself and able to chat with Diane. Barb is totally disgusted that Diane, a common guttersnipe, is inhabiting her body and awake, no less. Synopsis: Odin is upset because Gadzooks has been tipping one too many tankards of mead in the hall. As punishment, and for Odin's amusement, Gadzooks is ordered to Earth to mentor a mortal artist in muse-like manner. Gadzooks ends up in 1961, in a little Texas town, in the middle of the night, with a drunken eighteen-year-old female named Ophelia/Pearl, who's flunking art school. After who 'he is' and 'she is' gets sorted, Pearl shares her desire to drop out of art school and become a blues singer. Gadzooks convinces her to adopt all the self-destructive qualities of a warrior, qualities that describe the warrior queen of the blues. Gadzooks invokes a mighty warrior's blessing upon Pearl in a blaze of wind and lightning. The next day, Pearl wakes up thinking it was a drunken dream. She telephones her art college and drops out to pursue a life as a blues singer: Janis Joplin.

Synopsis: Once upon a time in the far away Kingdom of New York in the Crystal City, there was born a little princess. Sad to say this little princess was born with an evil curse upon her head, for she was born into the body of a little prince. All the days of her little life, she wanted to play with the other little girls of the court, but alas it was not to be, for it was considered improper conduct for a young prince. When she became a young maiden in her teens she looked for answers to her questions. She scoured the shelves of the royal library and after a great deal of reading she discovered that the curse that had befallen her was really quite a common curse (that is, as curses go). After finishing her royal schooling, she decided to serve her country and King, and was confronted with the harsh realities of the world outside the kingdom. Deciding to be as honorable to her royal family as possible, she decided to embrace her Princely persona as best she could. She went off to fight wars. She served with much zeal and great bravery! After the war she returned home to take a bride and to settle down as any good prince should do.
