Fiona graduated from the University of Hull with a Ba (hons) in 2005. In the same year she was shortlisted for the Orange Playwright Prize for Urban Cowboys. Her first play was given a rehearsed reading with the Playwrights Studio Scotland in the Citizen's Theatre Glasgow. In 2008 she won the David Mclellan Playwright Prize for Wasteland. This award saw the play performed by Nutshell Theatre Company at the arran Arts Festival. She is currently writing new material and judging the 2009 Mclellan award.

Synopsis:
Urban Cowboys follows our bar maiden Blair in the Castle Turret Bar, a reputable establishment of ilrepute. We follow her quest to find a suitable suitor which arrives on a BMX steed in the form of Fletcher. 'Out of all the dives in all of Glasgow he staggered into mine.' Romance in high rise horizons.

Wasteland

Synopsis:
Barra has read thirty books in thirty days. She hasn't left the sofa either. Not since her fiance was killed fighting overseas. She finds her escape palm to palm in a chemists kiss. enter Heron the delivery man to the dead who decides to give her a second chance. a second chance that will only be found if she can find the missing page of her 'life book' and two mischeivious fonts who help her along the way. a journey through books and out the other side of the binder.
