Biography of Peter Collins

Peter was born, raised and educated in Liverpool. At the age of eighteen he was faced with a life changing decision. Go to Art School or study Computer Science at University. Unable to contemplate a life of poverty as a struggling artist he elected to seek financial reward as an IT nerd. Twelve years later, from his private Liverpool estate he decided he could quash his creative desires no more and reunited himself with his paintbrushes. At the same time he reacquainted himself with another of his creative passions - writing comedy. In early 2006 he started working on Fully House Trained with Neil and Graeme. Prior to this collaboration he had been struggling to find the correct vehicle for his growing collection of comedy material. Previous outlets for this included a series of mock complaint letters (as yet unpublished), his band The Horse Purveyors (as yet unsigned) and two amateur films The Horse Purveyors Movie and John Wogan - American Cop, both written by and starring Peter (currently in a bag of VHS videos in the spare room). The maturity that comes with being a Team Leader and IT Specialist for the world's largest IT company thankfully hasn't had too much effect on Peter, and his wit and repartee are still as insightful and ridiculous as they ever were. He is currently an exhibiting contemporary artist and a peripheral member of Liverpool's creative writing scene.
