Biography of Noel Clarke

Winner of the 2009 Orange Rising Star BAFTA, Noel Clarke is a multi-award-winning actor/director/writer. His 2008 feature Adulthood, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, was one of the highest grossing British films of that year. It revisited, seven years on, the characters from his previous hit movie, Kidulthood, which won the Douglas Hickox Award at the 2006 BIFA's, as well as Best Screenplay at the Dinard Film Festival and the Screen Nation Awards. Having won the Laurence Olivier Award for Most Promising Newcomer for his performance in the play WHERE DO WE LIVE? at the Royal Court Theatre in 2003, Noel Clarke became known for playing Mickey Smith in 13 episodes of Dr Who, and 'Wyman' in Auf Wiedersehen Pet. He appears in Centurion, Heartless and as the lead in Ben Miller's first feature, Huge. He is currently developing a number of projects including Cherries for Pathe/Warners. His most recent film, which he wrote and directed, is 4321, opens in Summer 2010.
