Vicky Araico Casas is a playwright, perfomer and movement specialist. After receiving a degree in law from Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico City) in 2001, Vicky trained as an actor at Centro Universitario de Teatro, Mexicos National University (UNAM). In 2009 she completed her MA in Movement Studies at Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and currently works internationally as a movement director. She has served as visiting lecturer on Movement for Actors at RADA, Central, East 15, ALRA and CityLit in the UK, and has presented movement workshops for actors and movement professionals at CUT (UNAM) and Centro Cultural Helénico in Mexico City. Her solo piece Juana in a Million, which she co-wrote and performs, opened at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, receiving excellent reviews and a Fringe First Award for oustanding new writing. Since then Vicky has performed Juana nearly 100 times in international venues and festivals. Her appearance at NYC United Solo 2013 was awarded Best One-Woman Show, and a four-week run at Londons Southwark Playhouse elicited a nomination for a London Offie (Off West End) Award for Best Female Performance.

In a virtuoso physical performance by award-winning Mexican actress Vicky Araico Casas, Juana's story becomes a heart-breaking, hilarious and moving tale of survival, strength and hope.
