Marco Canale is an Argentinian/Spanish playwright and theatre director, born in Buenos Aires in 1977, living in Madrid since 2001, and Guatemala since 2008. His works have been released or published in Spain, Argentina, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Colombia, Mexico, Morocco and France. His work comes from the cross between the political and autobiographical, from works tackling a case of sexual abuse in his own family, to others where fiction is assigned to reality, working with figures in the worlds of politics, media and economics, and from his personal reflection. Since 2007, Marco has worked as a playwright and director in a collective process with Latin American social and political groups, and is part of the group formed by Guatemalan women who have been victims of violence "Las Poderosas Teatro".
