Beastly

Synopsis:
A simple hair in the wrong place can send the most mild mannered amongst us into fits of gut-wrenching palpitation. What appears a thing of beauty on a gorgeous head of hair, Madam, is but a thing of revulsion when felt slipping across your tongue. In a secret room a dark experiment unfolds. Splicing Victorian freakshow grotesquery with Gothic scientific experimentation, this sideshow of hairy horrors will take you on a deviant journey from delight to disgust.

Notes:
A work-in-progress written by Deb Jones with Rosana Cade and Eilidh MacAskill.

Cock And Bull

Synopsis:
A piece that made surprisingly musical use of familiar cliche, and found rich choreographic material in conference platform pacing and the TV sofas of political punditry, it was also, as you might expect, about the male dominance of those, ballot box crosses in black electrical tape over the women's nipples beneath their men's garb. - Keith Bruce

Gay In A Manger

Synopsis:
Everyone's favourite gender-bending duo Tranny and Roseannah present an alternative festive experience. Come on in, make yourselves comfortable, and enjoy the story of Christmas as you've never seen it before. . . It's CHRIIIIIST-MASSSS! That most special time of year, when the decorations go up, the foul-mouthed family comes over, and the booze goes down. Well this time, Tranny and Roseannah have invited you round to theirs for a cosy Christmas night in - only, it might not be quite what you expect. Think John Waters hosting Noel's House Party and you're getting close. Think a camp cabaret atmosphere where anything goes and Christmas values get twisted and shaken and you're even closer. Featuring Eilidh MacAskill as Grandpa, Laurie Brown as Roseannah and Rosana Cade as Tranny, join us for an evening of special guests, an alternative take on the Christmas nativity, and some good old-fashioned yuletide singalongs. With tits, tinsel, and turkey, baubles, balls, and blood, this is an X-rated Xmas show you won't soon forget.

Lady Fingers & Empire Biscuits

Synopsis:
In 1860 the British ruling force in India instated the Indian Penal Code, enforcing a unifying law across the whole country for the first time. Section 377 of the IPC stated that carnal intercourse against the order of nature was illegal. Since then, this law has been used to persecute people who engage in homosexual acts. Previous to British rule in India, there are no records of any person being persecuted for acts of same-sex love. There isn't a word in any Indian language that defines people by their sexuality. In Lady Fingers & Empire Biscuits, Rosana Cade explores this export of British Victorian ideas about sex and how they have permeated through time; the confusion between modern and traditional notions of identity in each country; and the impact of the English language on sexual discourse in India.

Sister

Synopsis:
Amy and Rosana are sisters, born exactly 22 months apart in the mid 80s. Amy works in the sex industry. Rosana is a lesbian with a shaved head and hairy arm pits. They are both feminists. This performative exploration of female sexuality will see them revealing everything in an attempt to understand their own and each other's sexual identities, and how the world they grew up in together has shaped them into who they are today. This is a preview performance of a show which is in an ongoing process of continued development.
